I'm afraid its a dead end. FDM are more than willing to run a test, however they don't believe that this can be used for a claim, since they cant document the gap between before and after the update. Its like punching a pillow. Nothing happens though Im really trying to make the argument that Opel/Vauxhall cant be not knowing about the mechanical changes they apply through the software update.
Its so very disappointing! :-(
I am from Denmark as well, i had a 110HP 2016 Astra K.
I got several letters from Opel, stating that there was an important update that i needed to have done, i knew this was the "diesel scandal" recall, that had left a lot of Volkswagen owners with cars that performed a lot poorer than before so i ignored it.
Have had nothing but Opel up until now (Kadett E, Vectra A, Zafira A, Zafira B, Corsa D, Astra K) but i sold the car and i am "never" going to own an Opel again. (Still have the Corsa, but am in the process of looking at a replacement, that is not Opel)
I simply lost faith in the car, it had disintegrating rubber boots over the front struts, 1 cm movement up down of the steering wheel in the locked position, chain rattle that was going to require replacement of the Chain (Was quoted "Atleast 20.000 DKK" from Opel, and Opel would cover zero of the cost) and then after then clutch/brake recall, the car started losing brake fluid, it did not drip onto the ground, and i was told that the brake fluid was actually pushed from the clutch slave cylinder into the gearbox.
Sold it to an Opel dealer, they sold it on, but i hope they fixed these issues before, or the new owner can claim the 2 year used car warranty for this car, when they find out you needed to add more brake fluid every couple of months, and even more often in summer, when the engine/gearbox got hotter.
Oh and then there were the Error i got every summer going on summer holiday, suddenly it would go into limp home mode, and be low on power...This was some boost valve that needed changing as well.
So many problems with the car, and most of them pretty expensive to fix, so i just gave up and made it someone else's problem. I hope the fact that i sold it to a vauxhall dealer would make them fix the car before reselling it, but nevertheless they sold the car to some poor sod, that will have to fight Opel when the times comes where the chain rattles itself to death the gearbox destroys itself because the brake fluid is not a good gearbox lubricant or the car is failing the inspection because of play in the steering wheel adjuster
