Car Play crashes on launch most of the time

I am finding that Apple CarPlay tends to crash when first plugged in.

Symptoms are no projection (even though the icon impplies it is ready) and no SIRI.

If I unplug the cable and plug it in again then it launches correctly and works thereafter.

Anybody else expereincing this and found a fix?

It is not flawless with android auto either. Often it takes ample time to start up (e.g. the screen goes dark = there's connection but then nothing happens for some seconds) and once or twice I have experienced that it never got past the "dark screen phase".
Not much to do but pull out cable and plug it in again, which is not very good to do while driving :? . It doesn't help that cable entry on my Oneplus2 is pure shit. :lol: The cable comes out by itself a bit too often, but at least that can be blamed on my phone.

Sometimes we use my wife's phone which is newer and better and it seems the connection is quite a bit faster in its response. So it might have something to do with your phone as well?
