the different numbers in the lower row are mearly a date code.
The 33471-0406 is the part number.
The connector system is rated at 20A so the real problem may lie with an undersized pin in the lamp housing.
The connectors, crimps etc are available seperatly at about a tenth of the vauxhall price.
Series is Molex MX-150, they can be found online.

I found the plug on eBay with the four wires attached and the bulb housing too, the housing on my lights has melted one of the pins away and I don't think I have the access to change that pin, I think I need to replace the whole bulb housing

Just had a read through this thread after discovering my rear offside light cluster has failed. luckily there is still a little bit of the pin remaining on the bulb carrier so used a little bit of solder wire to make the connection between the plug and the pin. Obviously only a temporary fix.

in terms of long term fix, I assume the wiring would need replacing to the thicker pictured and not just a new bulb carrier. I'm guessing just replacing the bulb carrier doesn't fix the issue and further down the line I'm back to square 1 having the replace again.

Thanks Valer, I currently have a temp fix in place, with a little bit of solder wire. Would it hurt just leaving at as it is, even just until I have spoken to Vauxhall? I'm going to speak to Vauxhall tomorrow to see if I'm still within the bulletin warranty and have made a note of the bulletin ref should they deny any knowledge of it.

Is E191904430 the valid ref for the bulletin in relation to the fault within the cluster connection, I assume the 5 years runs from the date of 1st registration or 100k, mine was 1st registered Sept 2016, and done 40k so still within the 5 year time frame.
If anyone can confirm the ref number, so I can use it should the Vauxhall dealer deny any knowledge.
I would rather not have to pay for something to be fixed that Vauxhall have full knowledge of it being a fault

Ok thanks Valer, I have been into Vauxhall this morning and asked them to sort it. They have booked the car in for 6th July and say there's a charge for diagnostic of £60 which I won't be charged should it be the fault they know about. But going off this thread it is. So I will be taking it and I will be making sure I keep hold of the ref number.

As I said the car was registered 9/9/2016 so still within the 5 year time frame and definitely under the 100,000 miles.

Ok sorry I misread, car has only done 42k so well under the 62k

Since had a response from the service manager at Vauxhall, who has confirmed 'if the fault is verified, the repair will be done under the 'special coverage' repair item'.

I'm guessing if I hadn't hit them with the bulletin ref in this thread I would of more than likely been fobbed off and expected to pay for the repairs myself

My god, it seems Vauxhall are bending over backwards for me now. Just had a phone call asking if I want to get the car in sooner. Unfortunately I can't due to work commitments.

Asked that question earlier in the thread Boroboy, my first thought, as they usual put a date and a vin number when a production improvement was implemented. .

The bulletin covers MY 2016-2020 so it would suggest they don't have a great deal of confidence of the issue being permanently sorted.

From my experiences when having any warranty work looked at I have always had to sign to pay myself, should it not be covered by warranty. Remind them it is a tsb for the rear light cluster and it is an extended warranty period/mileage for this.
