Eyup guys. I thought, seeing as I have done several oil changes without changing it and on the last one I think I may have slightly goosed the head ;) it was about time I bought a new Drain Pug and O-Ring.

THIS guy on eBay is advertising 2 X Magnetic ones for £11.50 (always used to use magnetised ones on my bikes) which seems to be an OK price . Don't suppose anyone here has bought 'owt off him have they ?

The genuine VX units are about twice the price and they ain't magnetised..........It's a bloody bolt f'gods sake :ROFLMAO:

I've thought about fitting one of the EZ drain sump plugs and drill an access hole in the undershield
but unsurprisingly the price has always puts me off

At £40 @Valer I'm not surprised 😱

I bought a plug from Autovaux a couple of years ago.
They sell this one now by Elring Sump Pans & Plugs | Autovaux Car Parts
Yeah I saw that and the Febi one they sell for a tad more but neither of them are magnetic (or at least they don't state it anyway 🤷‍♂️) Thanks @old_mainframer

Think I'll just order the pack of two off eBay and let you guys know what the service was like. I'll prolly lose one of them after a few weeks anyway so two is always good :ROFLMAO:

Well, the drain plugs came today. First thoughts are that they are too big forra start but, that may well be that I don't pay too much attention to the plug when I drop the oil and new, shiny things always look different :ROFLMAO:
However, they are not magnetic in any way, shape or form  so I've messaged the seller, explaining my concerns so we'll see what happens. 🤷‍♂️

The plug takes a 15mm socket to undo, so it is quite large. Shame they are not magnetic.

This is the problem with buying from eBay . Had various things that aren't as described ,so stopped buying car parts off it.
Yeah, I've had a few bits wrong off eBay myself but tbf, a few sellers have just made an honest mistake and it's been resolved quickly and amicably so here's hoping 🤞

Yeah, this one is weird coz it's 15mm A/F but also has a Torx centre 🤷‍♂️
