Fault P0011 on B10XFL

Post by Pizzonia » Thu Mar 26, 2020 10:03 pm

Hello, i have service engine light and fault is P0011

"A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance

It's astra K 1.0 petrol with 80000km so far.
Car runs normally.
Any ideas what that could be?

Hey, I've got the exact same fault on mine although I've got the 1.4 turbo 150 engine. My car runs smooth but is definitely reduced power.

Had it booked into Vauxhall last week but it was cancelled due to the coronavirus issue.

Interested to see if anyone has any ideas about this fault.

The code is thrown when:
• The desired and actual camshaft position actuator is commanded between 5–25 degrees.
• The ECM detects the difference between the desired camshaft position angle and the actual camshaft position angle is greater than 5 degrees.
• The condition exists for greater 10 seconds.

so depending how far out the two are it's possible you may not notice a big drop in performance
