Motor oil preference

Do you care about the specifics of your motor oil? if so, which label do you prefer?

so far i've been using Motul 8100 X-Clean EFE 5w-30

good price/performance product.

though some people over some oil discussion forums swear by Castrol Edge 0w-30 C3 (apparently it is a great PAO based, "true" synthetic oil)
quite on the pricey side. especially if you need 5 litres of it, like me. since it comes with only 4 and 1 litre containers.

also heard great things about Shell Helix Ultra Professional AG 5W-30. it is a natural gas based oil and supposed to have more homogeneous structure.

Sorry to hijack the thread (a bit!) but mine's gonna be due for an oil/filter change soon. Has anybody actually used the stuff that EuroCarParts sell ? Or is the vx gear genuine and well priced ?

It all depends if you are doing the oil and filter yourself , are you under warranty still , if so genuine all the way and garage to stamp book.
But genuine stuff is pretty well priced , oil available off eBay or Amazon and really peace of mind when buying it.

I change my oil filter with the Man/bosh brand ones from euro car parts and the shel helix oil from them also.
Used them for years and never had an issue with Vauxhall and Nissan car parts.
