I've just tried reading mine, from when the car was left for 30 minutes from warm. My dipstick looks different to the one in the manual. I have two depressed dots, oil needs to between those. I found it very difficult to see the oil, as it's still warm. I've found it far easier to do it prior to starting, from cold. Will stick with the tried and trusted method. A lot easier to read the level then. My oil level seems to be at the same level, whether checked from cold or warm on the 1.0t engine. I also found it this way with my previous 1.6d K.

I thought the three scored lines where top normal, normal and bottom normal and the combed areas where too high and too low.
