In some of the motoring press Ive noticed there is a new Corsa GSI. Has the 1.4 turbo engine as fitted to the astra. 148bhp. Claimed 0-60 time of 8.9 seconds. How the hell is it slower than the Astra, isnt the book figure for Astra 1.4t 7.8 seconds? Is the Corsa filled with lead? Shirley its lighter, its a segment below!?
Doesnt make sense.

Re: Corsa gsi
Same as the 1.6t astra, 6.6 for the older k and 7.3 for the new one. Just waiting for a VX software update call which I will politely decline!

Re: Corsa gsi
Does the Corsa not use the older 1.4T? It doesn't look like the K engine.

Re: Corsa gsi
Yes, the Corsa engine is the old Ecotec 1.4T - same as the 140ps unit that was fitted in the Astra J.
I think there were plans to put the new engine in the Corsa but all that has been scrapped following the PSA takeover and model redesign to be a 208 clone underneath.
