On board computer fault.

Post by castra » Fri Apr 06, 2018 3:32 pm

I've just pulled up at a petrol station this afternoon, as you do, everything working fine. I've turned the engine off and filled her up, but when I've restarted the engine to drive away the onboard computer was just showing a blank black screen. I've tried turning the screen on/off to no avail.

Pulled up at home and turned off the engine and have been shown this screen (attached). This screen won't go away, even after exiting the car and locking the doors etc. Has anyone come across this before, is there an easy fix or will it be another dealer call?

Should've mentioned, car's a 2016 1.0 turbo ecoflex if it makes any odds.

Exactly the reason why I dumped mine. HMI module plus screen and dab modules = £2000!. Had a minor relapse after all that was done so treated that as a warning.

The problem is that these kinds of bills are becoming common on all types of vehicle.

My folks had an LED go in a light on an Audi a couple of years ago and the warranty bill for a new light was £1k+
