Avoid the stuff that adds shine, the reflection of the dash in the windscreen becomes horrendous (It`s pretty bad already) I`m with the microfiber crowd above, does the job nicely

Thanks for the help OastrA. I think the word translates to Fabric, the stuff that covers the seats.

Reading the blurb that's shown alongside most All Purpose Cleaners, it seems to just clean the surface and not leave any shiny or other residue. Only ever having tried the Tesco APC, I can vouch that that one doesn't change the finish in any way, just wipes away the marks.

Great shout on just using the micro fibre cloth. I got the Scotts cockpit spray stuff free but I’m abit aprehensive to use it so I just went with the cloth and boom looks great.

I use Sonax’s cockpit cleaner. Occasionally, will use Meguiar’s protectant. Since I often park under the sun, UV protection is also an important consideration.

Something like this goes a long way https://www.racshop.co.uk/sonax-interior-multi-surface-cleaner-500ml.html you want something all-in-one you can use to clean different surfaces.
