My Daughter has had new coil springs fitted to her 58 Astra 1.7 cdti eco estate by her local diy mechanic. The car now sits quite low at the front, it looks a bit too close to the tyres for comfort.
The mechanic insists that he has fitted the correct springs recommended by his supplier. Any thoughts?
It would seem obvious that they are the wrong springs but the "mechanic" insists that they are the ones that the suppliers says are correct. Perhaps I need to talk to the supplier.
Could be that they bought springs for petrol rather than diesel car which usually has a heavier motor.
