Only bit which sounds interesting is the revised centre console storage so hopefully we can retrofit it to previous astras as the little slit below the heater controls are a waste of time.
The car's "development" has been going mostly the wrong way since the start, when they started eliminating sound insulation and the watt's link...
Then the changes just kept on coming. which push the car down in quality.
I guess that's what Peugeot wants, and then they can just dispose of Opel/Vauxhall.
I think it's a crying shame - the Astra has a lot of potential and with a few improvements it would be absolutely best in class.
The last thing it needs is to feel cheaper.
Peugeot is replacing the engine package to that of it's own making, It pays GM to use the original engine packages and I presume to do so a new revised sub frame would be needed and the brunt of the savings would have to be made to cover those costs.
The Buick Verano version has rear air vents, rear cupholders and a slightly different console. Why didn't Opel just implement these things in the first place. It addresses two of the main criticisms of the car.
Well its just a key so its pretty much worthless to color code it but I noticed that they are slowly turning into VW with all the extra equipment that has to be paid individually.
Yes that centre storage looks more usable than the present one! May have to order one when they become available.
