Hi folks. I know blokes are meant to know such things, but . . . I recently bought a 2016 Astra Design 1.4 T 16v. Does it have locking wheel nuts? Have looked in tool kit - theres' a jack, screwdriver, tow hook and tool for removing wheel nuts. Can't seen locking nut removal kit like the one I had in my last car 1 2006 AStra Sport. Thanks for any replies.
The key for the locking wheel nuts isn't in the toolkit, it comes seperately as they are fitted at the dealers I believe. Mine is kept in the little pull down compartment to the right of the steering wheel. If you've got locking nuts it'll be obvious by looking at them. I'm not sure if they were fitted to cars with steel wheels though.
I've also took mine off too. As they can cause endless problems. Then I bought a 19mm plastic nut cap to cover it, to match the other 4.
Although I find it doubtful anyone would want to steal my down graded 16s......
