I use Android Auto 90% of the time with Google Play Music.
With Songs I have on my phone I downloaded an app on the Google play Store called 'MD PLAYER'. works with android auto and the interface is just like google play music.

I'm surprised DAB is most popular, I didn't even spec mine with DAB.
Why isn't normal FM an option?

Because is not covered worldwide.
FM is covered worldwide.
Astra are sell worldwide.

As futur worldwide standard for radio diffusion, I would appreciate both FM and DAB as standard on higher entertainement stuff in Astra

Don't use the radio as much as I used to in the past.

Nowadays it's Radio 5 Live on DAB.

However, I have a heck of a lot of music on a USB drive. Basically I have in the house a 8GB drive for my music system in my living room - and an exact copy of that USB drive for my car.

I don't know what it is, but music always seems to sound better in the car when you crank up the volume!

I have reopened this poll, and made it so that members can choose up to 3 options, and can also change their mind later.

It would be interesting to see how things have changed over the last 3 years.

Nome of those options. I use YouTube Vanced. It's basically YouTube without adverts which also lets you lock the screen without pausing the video/sound.

By far the best option for me. YouTube is free and has everything you want, can't say the same about Spotify or Amazon. Tried them and a lot of songs are unavailable or are only available not as original but edit versions.

I'm working on an old school way to listen to music as well - download a bunch of songs and throw them onto USB stick. Got about 400 songs out of approx 2000 downloaded, edited and re-named/organised so far.

YouTube costs money - you pay or watch the adverts.
YouTube Vanced is an non official app which has a built in adblocker to allow you to get YouTube premium features.

So you can’t compare it to Apple Music or Spotify - your better comparing it to limewire or Pirate bay as none of the artist get any money from it…

I personally use Apple Music on CarPlay.

Radio X which is on DAB+ now (new-fangled stereo!) is my go to station - I've got Absolute stations plus Smooth Chill and Heart Dance just to give some variety!

If it's not radio, I listen to the numerous albums on my USB stick.
