Installing leather seats

Post by Albey » Mon Feb 22, 2021 10:40 pm

I have the Astra K 1.4 Turbo VX LINE NAV, would I be able to to install the elite NAV leather seats with the functionality of heated seats etc ? Is it possible?

Yes I have just done it

I had to put in a bit of wiring and change the the heater control panel and the armrest panel and loom

But I am waiting for lockdown to lift so I can have the Vci coding done

So they are in and connected but not yet working

Hi
I got the seats for a bargain price of £300 from a local scrapyard, they came with door cards centre consul and heater controls all from a late 2019 car

The programming should cost about £100 -£120 from a non dealer Vauxhall specialist

The wiring I have done myself

The controller for the front seats is under the passenger seat ,it need power from the centre fuse box , a data wire from the BCM and six wires between the seats

The controller for the rear is under the cushion ,it needs power from the rear fuse box a data wire from the same point as the fronts and about 4 wire from the BCM to the switch's

Some cars may have some of the wires in already , I have a late 2018 and it didn't

People like JRC Vaux Works are very helpful and would do the job for you , or I think they can make the wiring loom up for you to fit

The two buttons sound like the tilting of the seat cushion. They probably also have a lumbar button in the raising/lowering handle.
If you don't need the heating, you can just plug in the new seats. If you want the heating, you'll need to run additional wires, get a heating module, get a new climate panel with heating buttons and program the BCM. It's definitely doable.
Astra K 1.6 CDTi. Mods: AGR seats, 360° 3D camera, SeatSkinz, heated armrest and rear seats, dynamic turn signals, footwell and glovebox lights, light under boot floor, gear surround ambient light, pedalbox, wood-look trim and black felt interior.

Cheers mate I'm just going to put them in as is no modifications I'll just have to live without the heat and lumbar for now anyway
