Where can you find technical details of the new GM type, torquier 143bhp 1.4 petrol turbo triple, with twin balance shafts and 9 speed, conventional automatic gearbox?

What happened to the 1.6 petrol turbo engine that Opel were designing for the PSA group for 2020 - Has it fallen by the wayside?
I think Opel are reworking the PSA 1.6 Turbo so that it's reliable and works more like the GM one.
I don't think it's a new engine as such but once the Germans have finished refining it, it could well be!
Expect it in the Astra L.

Have to say, I love that dark blue colour.

I have just seen they do a black pack for the new Astra, do you think the grill will fit the previous model? They also have gloss black window trim which I would love so need to keep an eye out to see how much they are

Grill looks like a straight swap, however wrapping the current grill isn't difficult and does look better.

The black pack annoys me as I've had this done on my car for years and now everyone will have it from factory. Grrrrrrrrrr

I do like the wings but wrapping will likely be cheaper as genuine parts arent cheap as we know lol

How much do you think to wrap the grill and window trim as I hate chrome

DIY about £30 for 3M 1080 vinyl. Took me about 3 hours to de-chrome the whole car.

Went through the configurator the other day and noticed that the SRi has lost its front fog lights (£180 option - but standard fit on VX-Line and no others in a weird turnaround!) and the traffic sign recognition (£275 option - so much for these better cameras?)

These, in addition to the whole decent engine range cull, means there is no reason I can see to 'upgrade' from my 65-plate SRi to anything in the new range.

So the new improved camera that does pedestrian detection and braking for pedestrians does not have the traffic sign recognition ?

That seems a step backwards.
