The beam adjustment should be the only difference. If anything the auto lights seem to wrok far better and more consistant with the Corsa switch.

How about the dimming switch?

The only thing that is different is the manual headlight aim everything works as it should. I have managed to modify a Corsa switch to work exactly as the Astra for headlight aim, this involves new resistors and circuit changes.

Cheers for confirming Baz. I've just been out in the dark and can now see the dining working as it should, the red backlight on that unit is much brighter then the white from the rest of the controls so i think I'll keep it red even though I've bought the LEDs to replace them.

I installed a Corsa switch yesterday, and was pleased to see that the auto lighting could be switched off.

Leaving for work this morning, the lights came on when driving through a section of road shaded by a lot of trees. Turning the headlight switch to off, the headlights switched off, but the instrument panel and sat-nav display stayed in night mode.

Bit confused now. Can anyone confirm-

* Does the car remember the last setting of auto lights, i.e if you switch them off and receive the confirmation message in the instrument display, they will stay off for multiple restarts until switched back on?

* If the auto lights do come on, if you switch them off does your instrument lighting return to 'day' mode, or stay in 'night'?

Thanks,

Anthony

You have to turn them off with each engine start.

The switch will only turn off the headlights. The displays still rely on the light sensor as before.

By any chance do you have any idea of the pinout differences between the switches? If the 'off' switch is only momentary, I'm thinking of perhaps rewiring the connector on mine to swap the 'off' contact/pin/wire with the fog light switch (I only have rear fog but never use it). Might not be possible but even if you can identify the pins/wires involved in the 'off' switch it might give us some alternatives to replacing the switch module with the Corsa E one since they are not so available in countries that don't sell the corsa i.e Aus.
