Thought it would be interesting to see as some on here love the Astra and some hate it.

I've voted yes, although next time I might go diesel, and might go lower spec. There are things that annoy me as regular readers will know, but none of them are major, and I live in hope that they will be cured. I've not actually driven it this week due to my wife's Renault going all French on us and developing a running problem. She's had the Astra and I've been using my 1977 Manta.

I Have had the Elite Diesel Tourer for 4 months now and have had my share of niggles but nothing too serious .
I would have one again .
Why|? The Diesel is a wee sweety mated to the turbo it has loads of torque and plenty of mpg . Mainly town driving and display is showing on ave 56mpg . Lots of load space in the rear .
Love the dash , build quality , heated front/rear seats and the very smooth auto box .

Digger {the collie} loves the fact the rear windows go all the way down into the door , no glass exposed to hurt his wee chin .

I wouldn't change my car for the world, but If I was getting again, would consider going for the Bi-Turbo engine. Love the one I have, but would consider the BT.
Emerald Green. Oooh, shiny.

I voted 'Yes' - No issues with mine. Nearly 3 months old and I would buy exactly the same spec again. :D

Absolutely. Love mine, absolutely perfect for my needs. It bugs me that the OBC mpg is sooo massively inaccurate, and the paint chips far too easily, but other than that I still prefer it to the BMW 116d I had before.

I'd love a higher spec, but as it's a company car beggars can't be choosers!

Anyway to answer the original question, I would most definitely choose my car again. None of the minor issues I've had with it has been a 'showstopper'.

However, I am disappointed for newer owners (eg, MY17), that they're apparently not getting some of the things that came standard on my car - Watts Link, for instance..................
