Quick look https://leasing.com/car-leasing/vauxhall/astra/hatchback/1-6t-16v-200-sri-vx-line-nav-5dr/ way too much.

Back in 2017 we were offered 1.4T VX-LINE NAV 6 months down then £169 a month over 36 months

My 1.6t st has a lifetime average consumption of 44.3 mpg,but on a recent 110 mile run it did 55.1 mpg on the car system which was actually 53.2 when I worked it out tank to tank .i think this is quite exceptional for a car of this capability.my mates octavia 2.0vrs does 37mpg on the same run and he admits the Vauxhall is quicker.i rest my case🤔👍

and even if they had one at that price it would have probably been sitting in a field for a year as 1.6t came off the price list on 12th February 2019. There was a glut of 1.6T Elites at the start of the year at about £175 if you didn't mind standard spec, black, white or silver. We couldn't get an SRi that low and only found one leaser that could get us one built with options at the time from that low base price.

The Ceed GT is good value at the moment - https://www.jetvehiclefinance.co.uk/Rate/4835/KIA/888/CEED/1.6T%20GDi%20ISG%20GT%205dr/25605261 and is fully spec'd.

Whatever you end up with or how you pay for it, go for power. We learnt the hard way through a string of underpowered cars. You won't regret 200bhp. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
2019 Pull Me Over Red Astra 1.6 Turbo Elite Nav - Shame it looks like a Griffin, apart from those twin tail pipes :D and the extra 50 horses.

Out of interest, what is the average speed for that lifetime average? We can't better 36mpg, but our average speed is in the low 30's

The 1.6T is worth it anyway thanks to the low speed slug of torque that it offers which makes life so much more relaxed than the 2000+ RPM that the 1,.4T needs before it starts to pull.
Also there's the potential cylinder failures with the 1.4t than ever seem to have troubled the 1.,6T
Finally, there's the acoustic pack (sound proofing) and Watt's Link rear suspension which offers a quieter and more forgiving ride with better handling.
Having had a Mar 16 1.4T for a year and a half, taking a 1.6T out for a test drive was like night and day. The 1.6T, even ignoring the serious grunt, is how the Astra chassis should be.
