condensation in nav head unit!

Post by danx55 » Sun Feb 10, 2019 9:19 am

hi guys.

dealer just told me that my soon to be sri has damp in the nav unit and needs sorting under warranty :-\

... seems a strange one to me, damp in head unit

anyone heard of similar?

thanks
dan

....plus possibly more worrying is that the other dealer hasn't stamped the prep check :-\

Just picked up a 2016 and the headunit had condensation on the inside of the screen, didnt notice it until i was driving the car away, anyhow, after about an hour it had cleared up and has not been back since, yet my headlights are still misted up 🙄

I wonder if someone has valeted the inside of the car and used a steam cleaner or shampoo cleaner leaving it wet inside. My worry would be how has the damp got there?
