Vodafone 4G WIFi

Post by PeterShort » Sat Aug 12, 2017 7:36 am

My free trial period for the on board 4G recently expired, I tried to renew it first by myself and then with an Onstar adviser. Each time to no avail , one occasion they wanted me to use my mobile to do it , engine running albeit parked either way this infringes the law on using a mobile device . The latest scheme I was told it can be done in a Vodafone High Street shop and guess what the shop said its not something they do. Anyone else been subject t this debacle?

Done it through my phone sitting in car with just ignition on.This was the easiest way for me and took around 5 to 10 Minutes.I chose 50gb for the £100 This works out the best offer and don't have to keep renewing every time you want to top up

Been trying to sort mine out today. Bit of a palava , first used my phone to buy a package costing £20. It took the money from me but didn't give me the package, Phoned OnStar who transferred me to Vodafone. They have opened a case to get the £20 refunded to me.

So, I went indoors and used my PC to buy the package again which worked perfectly (now they've taken £40 from me) :(
Now Vodafone just owe me £20 which I hope they don't make too much fuss about refunding.

Not the best start from transferring from OnStar to Vodafone. Hopefully all will be fine from now on.

So I had a few problems buying a package online with it going through taking the money but not giving me the data bundle. On hold to Vodafone for 20 minutes to get cut off before anyone answered. I sent quite a disgruntled email to them to Complain and got a reply back with a 10GB "Goodwill" bundle that they've put onto my account for 28 days. Another free months WiFi for me :D
Anyone having issues with the Vodafone data purchase, make sure you complain!

I know! Once it all sorts out I'm gonna buy 50GB for £100 and then hopefully won't have to deal with them for another year.
