New astra owner!

Post by Nikkilevel27 » Sun Sep 23, 2018 11:02 am

Hello all.

I'm ready to pick up my first first vauxhall on Wednesday. 18 plate 1.4 150 astra sri.

Never had a vauxhall before, had 2 Fords previously and trading in my ford ecoboost for this.

Any tips or anything to look out for?

Many thanks!

Well as with every new car check for damage during transport and that bumpers are aligned and so on. Its MY18 model so most of the problems are ironed out. Congrats!

As a Ford driver since '88, I picked up my first ever Vauxhall last December. The reason I changed,my son at 6' 5" found the Focus too cramped.I must admit I've been impressed with the Astra and would probably have another.
Good luck with yours.

Welcome to the forum.

I had a ride in my son in law's temporary Focus yesterday and can also confirm the Focus seems very cramped compared with the Asta K.

We went on the the Volvo garage looking for his new car and was amazed that my ST is as large inside as the largest Volvo estate - the V90. Only the XC 90 was larger.

Sounds good!!

I have a daft question though. How are the sun visors? I hate getting in my other halfs Alfa Romeo because I'm short and they're small. They're useless!!

Thanks finston.

I'm starting to get a bit nervous of letting go of my ford. But I bet I won't miss it for long.

The visors are fine. But I'm 6'5" so never really use them as I can't see out properly. LOL

So I picked up the car today!

Nice and quick. Smooth ride.

There's a few things I had on my fiesta that I will miss though.

But please tell me I will get used to the seat. My back is killing me just from driving home. And the lumbar support isn't adjustable.
