Can I damage the paint?

Hi all, I have a ‘66 Black Astra 1.4 150. I have noticed that after I have detailed the car I have what can be described by spider web shine marks when the sun is on the paint. I assume its paint damage. Can I use a polish machine to get rid of this and if so can I do more damage by using the machine??? If the machines are good I want to get one but what is a good make and product to use with them? Car pics attached (not of marks, just because I am proud of it ha)

I used A dual action polisher and an couple of orange hex logic pads along with Maguire's ultimate compound as gives a good cut and leaves a good finish, don't worry as you will lift very little clear coat if polishing once every two years
