Scratch removal

Post by Dimlaith » Wed Apr 04, 2018 3:41 pm

Have a couple of fine scratches on my paintwork. Not deep but one is a few inches long. What's the best way to treat them?
Thanks.

Thank you. Are the days of using T Cut over. Used to use that years ago but paint has changed since then.

I use G3 also when needed and I agree with jonathaneuk it is very good at removing scratches. Great on removing marks on items around the house.

G3 Do a paste and liquid anyone comment on which is better.

Like the idea of a paste my thinking is it's thicker so likley to cut into the scratches more??

Since I opted for the cosmetic warranty (at extra cost) when I bought the car, I don't tend to use my own stuff. They always send round a bloke from 'Dent Wizard' / 'Flying Colours' and I've no idea what he uses.

However, I used to get 'Chips Away' to deal with minor blemishes, scratches, etc, when I had my Astra J and their technician used:

Truly amazing stuff and I'd definitely recommend it :) :)
Astra 1.6 SRi Turbo 200 PS / 150 kW, Power Red.
'Intellilux' headlights, 18 in / 45 cm bi-colour alloys, driving assistance pack, advanced parking pack.
