I mix up 50:50 of RO water and white vinegar and use 2 microfibre cloths (one to rub, the other to buff).

By way of an update, I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the Astra's windows and they're getting better. I used the Chemical Guys Glassworkz cleaner all round.

The inside front of the windscreen, especially on the passenger's side was still quite bad. As the bottle of Koch Chemie Speed Glass Cleaner I ordered had arrived but was pushed for time, I gave the passengers side another quick go before taking the family to the local Shopping Outlet.

As shopping is not my thing, I had a quick tour round then went and sat in the car. As it was pouring with rain, all the inside glass quickly misted up apart from the passengers side windscreen where I'd tried the Koch Chemie, that hardly misted up all. When I've got a bit more time to spare, I'll give all the glass another clean with the Koch Chemie and see how that goes.

Apparently this is caused by the interior plastics de-gassing. Magic eraser sponges get it off.

Looking on YouTube, the Magic Eraser seems to get used for a lot of things around the car. I always keep a couple soaking in a small bucket ready to use.

Still at a loss as to how the Magic Erasers work. There seems to be no chemicals or cleaning agents, just the block of Melamine foam.

Well that's what I used to do!

I decided to try some Koch Chemie Speed Glass Cleaner and it's the dogs danglies. I used to have issues with the windows misting up so had to keep the air to the screen to stop it, but after cleaning it the other day it doesn't mist up now.

Top stuff :)
