Can you use the cable from the phone holder for android auto? For me android auto only works with the usb socket in the armrest. I'm not sure however if its cable related or not.
Armest only for Android Auto. The phone holder USB socket does not work with Android Auto or Apple Carplay.

That's stupid. Than you still need a cable from the armrest. Makes the phone holder a bit obsolete.

I suppose it's because the PowerFlex bar is an optional accessory. That said, if you're running Android Auto, the screen on the phone is blank anyway - no reason to be able to see the screen. The phone holder is better for the times when you need to see the screen instead, or to charge up a passenger's phone.

The situation is not ideal, maybe, but it's how it is. My dealer said it was possible to wire in the PowerFlex bar to make it work with Android Auto, but you needed to be pretty handy. I don't think it's an official modification in any way.

It seems that there are 2 part numbers for mobile holders

a) 39079103
b) 13471402

...cause I don't have any idea which to choose.....I have an Iphone 4s and Iam planning to buy the Iphone 8. Which holder should I choose?

They made the phone holder bigger for the bigger phones. The first one is the new version that allows bigger phones.
Both phone holders are on this site with their dimensions but i think the old one wont be supplied anymore

So you mean that the new one, can hold suficiently also the old "smaller" phones eg. iphone 5,6,7,8 and bigger ones such iphone 6 plus 7 plus etc.?
iphones 5,6,7,8 are more or less 4,7" and the plus sizes goes to 5,5"

Hi
If you look carefully, as others have said, to the specification shown on the Opel website you will see the sizes that each of the holders can accommodate, this also states the adjustments available on length and width.
Simply take a ruler and measure the phone or even easier check the size specification on the phone manufacturers website, really not that difficult.
Of course, if the phone is housed in a cover then this has to be taken into account as well.
Logical really.

Astra, the way forward.

Ok Peter, let me set the question in a different way.
If I buy the larger holder that fits the biiger phones, can it "hug" the smaller phones?
I hope now you understand what I wanted to ask

All the dimensions are on the site. Height, width,depth...
For example (max. H/W/D: 95–158.5 mm x 58.5–78 mm x 6–11 mm) means min height 95 mm, max height 158 mm, min width 58.5 mm, max width 78 mm.
All you need to do is read the numbers for both the phone holders, measure your phone or look up the dimensions and verify if it will fit. The phone holders have adaptable sizes and will fit every phone if the dimensions match.
