Drivers window strip

Post by Gareth d » Tue Jul 16, 2019 6:30 pm

Noticed my drivers side window weather strip has lifted slightly just at the end of the door after the mirror, tried pushing it down and working it back in with a plastic screwdriver but wont play ball and just springs back out.... Anyone any clues how to easily get this back in would greatly appreciated

Squirt some tiger seal in there or remove the whole part and replace.

Maybe the clip is broke, or not being pushed down far enough to snap back in place. Car under 3 years old?

I've noticed mine are doing the same. On the rear windows too. Sounds like mine is going to visit the vets too!

Managed to refit it fairly easily as along the top of the strip is made from a soft metal (presumably aluminium) and as it was bent upwards pushing it back down wasn't enough to straighten it again so had to lift it out from the window past the wing mirror and straighten it and then it just pushes back in all good
