Here's my new Nextbase with their new Click & Go Pro mount.

With the screen saver on it's barely noticable and doesn't hang down much more than the plastic cover.

With regard to location when using the car interior light to power a dashcam:

I have a Sports Tourer and the interior light that I was referring to was the one over the back seats - not the front one above the mirror.

A front facing camera here would have obstructions from the driver/passenger heads/head rests and rear view mirror but would probably have a quite acceptable range of view to show what happened at the front/sides of the car.

A rear facing camera here would look out of the back window above the rear headrests/heads.

It also seems that the cameras would be well away from prying eyes.

I just wish I could find the right double front/rear camera installation that would fit best. Any suggestions?

Anyone knows how to remove passenger side airbag cover on A pillar?
Only need to remove it on top side to stick cables of dash cam behind airbag so that its not in the way of airbag.

I heard that once removed you need to replace "clip" that is holding it? Is this true or there is no need of replacing parts once removed?

Is it hard to remove? I am not sure if it's worth the hassle?

I am asking because i want to fit rear cam as well. I will run cable through floor and not roof because of side airbag curtains...

Just pull it. Don't worry about the clip, it's fine.

Airbag is not really located on the A pillar.

I had my front and rear Nextbase Dashcams fitted by Halfords for a fitting fee of £55 which includes the hardwire kit. Halfords at Chippenham done a very good job of fitting the cameras.

Here a couple of photos showing the position of the cameras.

@Scotty_b, @astramaster

Thanks. Then I will try this one day.

@Nev The Bear
Are you happy with Nextbase? Which model is rear?

At the moment i have cheap Apeman C420D dual dash cam and i am not very happy with picture quality. Especially in low light.
But even in sunny day its not the best. I did not fit rear cam yet.

And support is not great. You can get firmware only if you send them email. But even then it takes days. If they respond at all.

Hello

The Nextbase Cameras I have fitted are front 522GW and the rear camera is a Nextbase Rear View Camera with has a 6.5 metre lead to enable it to be connected to the front dashcam.

The quality of both cameras are very good in terms of picture quality and the other features.
