Powerflex bar

Post by connor.b1 » Wed Sep 27, 2017 5:58 pm

Hi guys. In my Sri nav it does not have the power flex bar,it only has the indent to hold your phone but I would like to fix the powerflex in its place. This is the one I'm looking at

https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-VAUXHA ... Ciid%253A1

Now I've had a look behind mine and it's just a fuse box so if any one has done this change or know how to that would be great.

I'll upload pictures of what I've got and what's behind it. Thanks

It would be useful someone to make a know how about this installation.
For sure you have to remove also the side trims of the console and the gear box trim as I have seen in the installation guidance of this item.

Do you think it would be easy to do as I really don't won't to pay £70 for the part and then not be able to fit it

It depends by your experience and how you can handle the tools.
Its not easy to dismantle the whole gear console if you don't have a specified step by step sketch. You might break something without the sketch.
Thats why Iam asking, if somebody install it already and has pictures of the dismantling, it would be nice to have it here as a guidance.

If not the only way to do it is to visit your experienced garage.

The only stuff that I can find on the net is this in the picture below.

I don't know how to use the link http://www.ifz-berlin.de in order to find the correct brochure for this installation.

I fitted one lst weekend.... very easy to do... i would get one from a dealer or get it yourself.... you get the loom with the kit and i bet ebay will just send the bar and not the loom... i got mine for 65 haggle with the dealer...

To install remove the old fuse cover, pull out the gear gatter. Remove 2x hex screws undeneath. Pull firmly on the ac control unit from behind. Unplug the unit. Remove the 2 side covers in the footwells they just pull off. Remove the 2x 8mm bolts from footwells... move both seats forward.. remove 2x 8mm bolts on rear. Slide the centre console back Becareful of the wiring. You dont need to fully remove it... yiu can get to the 12v socket loom via the gear stick hole
