Chiptuning

Post by mattonecz » Tue Jun 14, 2016 11:14 am

Hey guys,

i got new Astra 1.4T 92KW, the dealer told me that the engine is exactly the same as the 110KW version, only difference is in software.
Do you have any info on this?

Id like to chip it just to 110KW, because if it really is the same engine, it should not make any problems.

Cheers

you have two options:-

1. use EDS remap - allows you to flash the ECU yourself
or
2. Contact Superchips direct as they are looking to get hold of a 'K' for development purposes, you will probably get a good incentive should you allow them to use your car

You tune it - you lose it. While Tuning companies may offer their own warranty on anything they do, your VX/Opel warranty is voided as soon as you alter the vehicle away from its original spec.

U can buy a standalone ecu chip. In that case dealership will not be able to detect it. Just dont forget to take it out before going to the dealership :)

Does anybody know if the turbochargers of 92 and 110KW are exactly the same?

Looks quick. Especially with flat tyres and no seat belt! Lol No flat spot at 3k rpm either as per the Vauxhall map.
