Software update for Infotainment System

My 16 plate Astra Elite model went to the dealer today regarding a brake light issue, they told me my Infotainment system required a software update. Following this I now have no sound what so ever even when indicating and no DAB stations either and they are waiting for vauxhall to contact them for a fix. Driving in silence is no fun..... Anybody else had this problem or knows a solution? :( :(

A software update is being worked on and tested but no time scale of when it's released

So - the system stopped working, even with the old version of the software - that had previously worked?

What did they do - remove the old software, or introduce an interlock to stop it working in the interim?

Just asking - no big deal.

Had my car back in for 3 days, dealer messaging Vauxhall following further tests. In the end they could not fix fault so ordered a brand new unit which was fitted and now working again. This new unit also came with the upto date software which had buggered my old one.

I did email and speak with Vauxhall myself not sure if this helped in speeding up the process. 😉😉

How did you get the update as Vauxhall customer care service told me it's not been released as it's still being worked on
