I had my car i the shop for a problem and I asked them to update the Intellilink 4 in my car. So they did and the few times I've tried Android Auto after that it has worked perfectly. I saw in another thread that a member did the same update with a perfect result. In his and now my display one can easily see that an update is done. When the parking censors are activated there is a red stop sign in the bottom left corner of the screen. It wasn't there before.

I have also checked the software version after the update, by tapping about ten times in the top right corner of the start screen. There you can put in a code and the code is 20130822. Nothing seems to happen, but if you go back to the start screen and tap setting there are two more settings on page two, Developer mode and Developer settings. In one of them you can see the software version. Mine is now:

HW version: E2
SW version: IP25.2.8 (1.25.2.14)
IPL version: 1.0.0.0

Hope it helps.

When I have Android Auto running and make a stop, turn off and lock the car and still have my phone connected to usb, both bluetooth and AA turns on automatically when I start the car again. It must have to do with the new software in Intellilink 4. Before the update I had to disconnect the cable, wait for bluetooth connection and the plug in the cable to start AA.

I know its an old thread, but wanted to ask.

Do you have further info, with regards to this update and when it might be released ?

The only update I have is there still working on it they phoned me last week
Okay, thanks for the answer.

Still hoping they will release a firmware that supports OverTheAir updates, for radio's that have the WIFI part.

Would be really nice if they could make it so that the radio could stream directly off of the internet with connected wifi

Then it would just be a matter of setting up ITTT to fire up wifi hotspot on the phone whenever it connected to the bluetooth in the car.
