Dash board faults

I know this has been done before got loads of faults on dashboard nothing works on dash then turn car of then everything ok again took to dealers they checked ecu but ecu was up to date now their telling me i need a new dash cluster cost of 845 quid is it the cluster any thoughts 2017 astra estate 1.6t elite nav 9500 miles one time turned key on and nothing 4 seconds later comes to life with all faults

Can be caused by water getting in to the battery compartment in the boot. So check no water damage is evident on the DC/DC converter module and its wiring in there.

Forgot to say it happened 2 days ago I turned all faults off drove with nothing working 2 min driving and everything started working again first time its come back to life without turning off car just checked boot no wet in boot and battery and connectors look fine

If you can, pop it along to us in Newcastle upon Tyne. I find it hard to believe you need a new instrument cluster. However if you did we can generally supply / program them for around £80-100 with a used cluster.

This happened to a few people on the early 16 and 17 plate astra k's. Has yours had the tsb done on it , also does your fuel gauge not go to full when you fill the tank up?
