Well done,I hope it is reliable, the performance must be great.but it would have been easier and with reliability to just buy a 1.6t and you have similar performance figures with no hassle or expense. I am presuming that work was not cheap.
Couldn`t find a good secondhand 1.6T to my specification and bought this car from germany for a good price
And the 1.4T engine is easy to tune to stage 2.
it has the same gearbox as the 1,6T so with tuning the 1.6T the gearbox wouldt be reliable for long term
Nice setup, got many of the same things that i wish i had !
What kind of gearbox do you use? Asking because i have the M30 which i've had some funny sounds from in 6th gear when my car was re-mapped. thinking that i might upgrade my gearbox to an M32 before i start tuning.

I read you came from The Netherlands. In The Netherlands all 1.4t engines have the start/stop system. All these engines are equipped with the m22 gearbox. Only the 1.6t have the m32 (and some diesels).

If you have an imported car it could be the m32. But if you have a Dutch original car it will have an s/s button, and you have an m22 gearbox, rated till 220nm (or confusingly 240nm). VIN number should give you more information which one you have fitted.
There is always a margin, plus you won't be running at 320nm at all times, only when pushing. Still, it won't be very good for the bearings this high torque number.
All 1.6t manuals have the 3rd gen m32 gearbox. The end ratio on the 1.6t m32 is different from the 1.4t m32, perhaps to cause less stress on the gearbox in higher gears.
If the m22 and m32 can be interchanged I don't know, you have to look for the dimensions of the engine, clutch and the driveshafts.
Looks great. Have you made any changes to the exterior or are you just concentrating on performance improvements?
