Have to say my 900 Nav unit seems quite quick at calculating a route.

Most seem to recommend plugging in your smartphone and using Google Maps or Waze. Maps haven't been updated in ages but if you're going somewhere that's not moved since about 2018, you should be OK!

 

That's great thanks. Ive set the nav colour mode on auto. It does not go into dark mode at night. Should it do

 

That does sound frustrating. A slow sat nav could be due to outdated maps, software issues, or weak GPS signal. Try updating the system if possible, or resetting it to see if that helps. Does it happen everywhere or just in certain areas

 

Somewhere in the settings (Vehicle?) there is an option for an Auto/Day/Night display.

Some people say put it into night mode and then to auto mode again (there may be a battery disconnect for a minute or two needed before that trick works)
