I have a 2016 diesel astra and i live in the nordic region so supposedly i have the quick heat, but on a cold day with sub zero temperatures celsius, it takes more than 45 seconds to get the windscreen free of moisture.

Is the 45 seconds, a bit optimistic or is my car not equipped with this anyway or maybe it is broken ?

Does it come on automatically and can i see somewhere, that it is actually on and will the car know that it is faulty if it is ?

Do you have a active air grill shutter ?

 

45 sec is extremely well done! No need to worry about that.
Just think of household heater. For example 1,5kW heater takes quite a lot time to heat up.
Quick Heat is perhaps around 600W (40+A)?

The price is normal. I placed the order "qh" and will receive it soon. To install "qh" I will use your instructions. So far, this is the only instruction that I have found for Astra K. The Russian forums are full of information on installing "qh" on Astra J, Zafira, Insignia. In Astra J, Zafira in most cases there is always a wiring for "qh", but in Astra K and Insignia there is no wiring. Therefore, I will have to independently lead the wires into the engine compartment and connect the "+" to connector 7. I will connect the control wires to the climate control unit (as in your photos). I also need to connect a 100A fuse. It is a pity that you do not have a photo of the wire and fuse connection in the engine compartment🙁.

Sorry, I didn't quite get it. What is an "active front grill"? What is needed for remote programming? Laptop and mdi? And then you will be able to connect to my car and activate qh?
