Having covered around 3500 miles / 5600 km, I have, indeed, had a few issues with the paint. Mine was actually
delivered with two chips on the front bumper!!

:x The dealer arranged for those to be remedied at my house - free of charge, of course! Since then, I've had assorted stone chips appearing mainly on the bonnet. Also, I accidentally let go of the driver's door inside my garage recently; it barely touched the wall before I could grab it back and, yes, you've guessed it, a chip resulted! :x Not happy!
So far, I've used a little trick passed on to me by local 'Chips Away' bloke for touching in (I did originally post this in the 'How to' section). He told me to roll a piece of masking tape in to a point (so that it looks rather like a tooth pick) and dip that in the paint for touching up. It results in a much better job than when trying to use the brush, especially on very small areas.
I did have a few problems with my previous Deep Sky Astra 'J', but I don't think it was as bad as this one! I actually took out extra insurance to cover minor paint damage when I bought my present 'K' (I understand you're allowed up to 17 repairs within the warranty period), but I haven't had anything bad enough to justify a call so far, but I may invoke it soon before my car looks completely sh*t! The one area this insurance doesn't cover (funny old thing) is the bi-colour, diamond cut alloy wheels and they've already cost me a few quid!!
