Hi I have videos on my memory stick and can watch videos but have no audio the video format is avi I am watching them on my Astra elite nav any ideas

Check (using for example https://mediaarea.net ) what kind of audio sits in that avi (avi is just a container and can contain various different things/formats).

hi audio is aac and I will try converting the video to mpeg 2

You are doing better than I am, I can't get mine to play anything AVI or mpeg4 just keep getting Unrecognisable file format message.
