What's the verdict the new Intellilux headlights?

They look pretty but they are expensive at £995 for the SRi and £1560 for other models. Are they genuinely useful on dark country roads or in other situations?

What happens in well lit areas? Do they dip reliably?

What about oncoming cyclists? Are their lights enough to trigger the local blanking or do they get dazzled? (pretty dangerous for a cyclist if they can't see the kerb).

What about cornering - do they genuinely help by illuminating the bend?

I have them on my SRi and coming from a J VXR which had AFL's the Intellux lights are much better. A more pure white output from the dipped Xenon the LED main beam works really work you can see them switching on/off as vehicles pass through the beam.

Not sure how they work with cyclists as I've not come across any yet.

In an urban environment the beam changes to light up the pavement.

I'm really impressed and glad I opted for them as I do a fair bit of dark morning/night commuting.

Thanks - that sounds great.

Can you turn the feature off and just use the headlights in normal dipped/high beam mode should you ever need to?

Does it help with cornering too? Can you tell it is illuminating into the bend?
