Hi All,

Just curious to see if anyone has fitted aftermarket front and rear parking sensors?

Keen to see how difficult they are to fit.

Rear ones seem straight forward enough, but not seen much detail about fronts.

Comments/advice would be welcomed.

To be fitted to an Astra K.

Thanks.

I wouldn't bother with fronts, don't see the point, even though have front and back factory fitted ones now.
I've had rears fitted by a trusted electrician in the past, colour coded, fitted them at my house for £150 all in with a lifetime guarantee. He does so for a lot of local garages around my area, inc cameras too. Was very happy with them for the duration to which I owned my previous car.

If you need 12v power have you checked the car actually has a rear fuse box, mine doesn't,
if you need the reverse wiring for a trigger it's the green/white

This is what is apparently needed....

So it needs a switchable live and ground, assume therefore the switchable live is fed from the reverse light.

It appears to show the live spliced into the earth, :censored: maybe when blown up it shows them as two separate wires (y)

I think it means 1 plug, which has 2 wires coming out of it.

Im waiting for the kit to arrive, its en route. Will check it out when it arrives and re-post what it shows.

OK - so the kit has arrived. As I thought, the picture is far better on the booklet. It s single plug, with two wires coming out of it.

One is the earth, and the other must be for the reverse live.

Guys, need some help.

I've just realised the reverse light is in the tailgate, so how do I get to the reverse wire?

I assume it comes down the C pillar and down towards the front, or does it come down and join the cluster of wires that are around the back light and inner rear quarter area?

Any help would be appreciated please.

There is no rear fuse box in this car.

Thanks.
