Re: Coding, "Traffic sign recognition" to 2020 SRi

I don't get why any car manufacturer doesn't open up a new potential revenue line with paid feature-unlock after delivery. I wonder how our turkish forum member ROBINHOOD does it with the stuff he's been able to program and add. Even stuff that shouldn't be possible. He's done: - side mirrors down ...

Re: Intellilink firmware versions and dates

So that confirms it. It will not be possible as such to upgrade the unit even if one wanted to. Unless offcourse there will be an adaptor loom that can be fitted. But then again, you would have to get Vauxhall to do the coding to the car, so unlikely that it will at all be possible. As far as an up...

Re: Position lights and tpms

TPMS .... Switch to the menu in the instrument display and look at the pressures. Might just be one sensor that is bad. Position lights is the DRL's in my book. If you turn off the car, set the indicator stalk to either left or right and take the key out and leave the car, the position light in the ...

Re: Intellilink firmware versions and dates

I don’t know either, I haven’t seen the new navi in the Astra live. Just by looking at the videos they seem identical to the insignia one, which I know for sure are GM. Anyway the old ones probably won’t get any updates anymore, but this was kinda the same on the previous model J. Offcourse not, as...

Re: Astra K Nightmare

Vauxhall should be recalling all of these cars in my opinion and sorting them out. It's interesting that they don't make the 1.4T engine anymore, says it all! I totally agree, and it is basically the same with the 1.6 diesel, they ought to recall the lot and replace the rattling chain, the fragile ...

Re: Onstar module location

Can anyone tell where it is please? You want to remove it. If yes, do you want to remove the buttons as well. I am looking for someone willing to swap a blanking plate from a non-onstar car, to the panel that is in the onstar cars. Need the buttons for a retrofit of something else. Am willing to pa...

Re: Intellilink firmware versions and dates

... You sure? The navi and HMI look very much like our 2018 insignia, thus GM. Im just quoting the guy that books the cars into the garage at the local vauxhall dealer. He said that "Next year, they will change to the french radio's" If he was incorrect i am unable to say offcourse. The remark was ...

Re: Intellilink firmware versions and dates

I have recently taken delivery of a new Astra K SRi 1.4T Auto, (Non NAV), and the software looks totally different to anything I have seen previously. The system is fast and responsive, all appears to work as expected, (with the exception of being able to see pictures and play video even with usb s...

Re: Coding, "Traffic sign recognition" to 2020 SRi

Vauxhall is absolutely taking the piss here.

The sign reading feature was standard on all Astra K's with the "opel eye" camera, now it is suddenly a paid feature.

This decision is so stupid that i strongly suspect that some french nob, made the decision to do this.
