Re: Tyre debate

I had the cross climates on my 1 series and they were great. Not a sporty tyre but very progressive and great in the wet, cold, snow and ice. The 1 series is a great handling car but twitchy on the limits and scary in the wet. These made a huge difference and made the car feel safe if a little less ...

Re: Traction

I have had a few GTI's in my time and none as bad as this. Saying that on one car I had the Bridgestones re050A and they were shite too.

Re: Tyre debate

Hate Bridgestones as they are rubbish in the wet for traction. Trying to put the power down in my 1.6T is a waste of time. Hard away, spin, then grip then above 4k spin again, 2nd gear spin. Ps4's going on the fronts tomorrow. I will change the rears next month if any one is interested in a new set ...

Traction

Hi, anyone else find the traction in the wet rubbish when pressing on? Granted I have the 1.6t version but in anything other than the dry the car just spins in 1st and 2nd. I'm blaming the Bridgestones too1's as they are crap. New set of piolt sport 4's going on the front tomorrow so hopefully that ...

Re: Fog lights (H8) before and after

Fog lights are meant to be more yellow, whiter light makes seeing in fog worse.

Re: How's your astra in the snow?

Mines been ok on the Bridgestones so long as you drive sensibly. Saying that I'm replacing the fronts with piolt sport 4's on Tuesday as I'm fed up with the poor traction from the Bridgestones when it's dry and particularly when it's wet but that's Bridgestones for you. 1.6t

Re: Hello

I had crosslimates on my 1 series which were great in the cold, snow wet and ice. Not bad in the dry too but they didn't feel sporty, Just a good safe tyre. These cars obviously put down some good power and torque and I want something better than the Bridgestones (which are ok in the warm and dry bu...

Re: Hello

TBH I wasn't even considering one of these but whilst browsing I spotted the car and thought that could be interesting ( I like sleeper cars). It's just a standard SRI but has the LED lights and driving assistance pack. The standard lights seam pretty good and better than the 1 series I had before s...

Hello

Hi just picked up my 16 plate Sri 1.6turbo in flip flop silver. Loving it already! LED number plate light upgrade in progress and I may steal the zafira tourer that we have 18 inch 245 18 45's whilst the Mrs isn't watching!
