Re: Rear veiw camera
just had an OEM camera fitted from a lad up here(newcastle area), £99 quid supplied fitted and programmed.. intellilink mods on facebook. I've had the same fitted in December. Took about half an hour (probably less if I hadn't kept talking to him). Parking lines move with steering wheel and no prob...

Re: On going Clutch Issue - Help!!!
Ok, got a call from the garage today and they got speaking to a field technician and apparently there is 2 dowds because the gear box and if these are not lined up probably it can cause clutch judder / slipping issues ..... turns out there is one missing from my Astra so they hope replacing both th...

Re: Extended warranty
I had to claim on an M32 gearbox on my 1.6T Sport Hatch due to whining bearing. If it is the M32 gearbox in the astra k it has no inherent problems to date if I am not mistaken. It has been totally uprated. I think the astra j M32 boxes were also improved later,so they may well pay out on something...

Re: Extended warranty
Here is part 15 of the exclusions of warrantywise's policy. A few of the reviews said they wouldn't pay out on the old style m32 bearing wear.(inherent fault)

Re: Extended warranty
I have been looking at extended warranties for when my car is 3 years old and the manufacturers warranty has ended. Well I have to say I am not impressed with them to be honest. The reviews for what I considered to be good companies such as Rac & warrantywise etc. They state, not even in the small p...

Re: Engine oil smells like gas
Does the car cold start ok?
If you had a leaking injector I would have thought the particular cylinder would be flooded (wetted spark plug) and misfire on starting. Also the engine would have to crank more to put fuel pressure back up.

Re: Engine oil smells like gas
Hopefully you have proof of any previous service/s done. I believe it will be covered under warranty providing it is upto date with its servicing at a vat registered garage. I dont believe servicing the car will make the problem disappear, it will need a service for sure. The engine can only be runn...

Re: Engine oil smells like gas
I have heard of situations where the high pressure fuel pump seals have split and fuel leaks into the oil at the camshaft housing. The high pressure fuel pump is camshaft driven. You need to get that oil drained ASAP and the source of the problem solved. Gpf from what I have read rarely needs fuel ...

Re: Engine oil smells like gas
Doesn't the engine type start with a D as opposed to a B if it is gpf and euro 6?
The car should be under manufacturer warranty so get it in to a dealer. Also the oil for that engine is expensive 0w20 (0V0401547) only to have to replace it again one contaminated again.
