Re: Astra k - Two batteries?

Hah thank you all, I have used the same charging point as you, bogbody, I didn't look under the fuse box and assumed it was a battery.

Astra k - Two batteries?

Good afternoon, I recently put my 2016 astra k 1.6CDTI on trickle charge as it has not been used in weeks. Hooked up the car battery under the bonnet to charge and went to look for for something in the boot, whilst there I noticed a significantly bigger battery under the cover in the boot. My questi...

Re: Suspension noise on front of car

Hi all, got my Astra Sports Tourer 1.6 CDTI 136 a couple of months back. Two weeks ago I noticed a dull, irregular clunking sound coming from somewhere far away in the front, like rocks being shaken around in a bathtub. Brought the car back to Opel - after two days of poking around they seen to hav...

Re: "kettling" noise front end.

Do you know which mount they think it is, the dealer wants £60 to look at mind.

Also does your car clunk going into gear from neutral?

Re: "kettling" noise front end.

Hi, vauxhall astra k 1.6CDTI manual - same problem. Last time I enquired the consensus was the engine mount under the gearbox. Let me know how it goes for you as I haven't stumped up for the repair yet.

Re: Rattle from somewhere resolved at long last

Where is the offside engine mount in the engine bay, and how easy is it to get to/check to see if it is the culprit for rattling?

Recall has changed clutch bite point

I've recently taken my car into Vauxhall for the recall where they replace the master and slave cylinder, and now my clutch biting point has changed from about half way released to pretty much completely released! I spoke to the dealer and they said that this is where it should be, but that doesn't ...

Re: Astra k clutch fault.

We had this recall done on our astra but now the biting point of the clutch is really high. I noticed something wasn't right when I drove away from the garage but assumed it was because I'd been driving a petrol car for 3 days when I'm used to diesel. My partner drove it a few weeks after and insta...

Engine mount replacement fixed mine, but now the noise is coming back after 2-3 weeks.

I had the suspension components replaced previously, no difference.
Is there any way to assess the engine mounts? Where are they on the attached image?

Re: Low speed clunking over rough ground

Thanks, seen as they're so cheap/ easy to replace I think I'll sort those first and report back.
