Re: Dash speakers - Adapters?

Thanks for the speedy reply. I saw that article from my searching. I do not have a centre dash speaker. If you see the pictures in my dropbox they are the current factory speakers in the left and right of the dash. I have tweeters spare however they are considerably smaller than those factory speak...

Re: Bulb Advice

Just dont get Osram night breakers, they dont last very long in my experience. I would go with Philips, i have used those and they last a long time, compared to the night breakers. (Years vs months). Sorry to say but I completely don’t agree, I installed the night breakers into my Aussie K Hatch an...

Re: Drivers electric widow module

Problem solved as ended up removing the whole door card and found the plug must never have been pushed in fully and had fallen out... Growing more and more suspect of vauxhalls build quilty Build quality is fine, mistakes happen with connections. I’m from australia and the BK Astra is on the road m...

Re: Fuel Flap doesn't lock with central locking

Double check the engagement mechanism works fine
Also try locking twice as it might be part of the two step lock settings possibly.

Re: Battery and Alternator Voltage

The battery is probably getting voltage sag starting with the heaters / fans / demister all turned on at crank My battery at the obd port during crank reads 12.2v and when charging sits between 14.1v-14.2v consistently, I assume when cranking it does dip slightly to 11.8v but the battery is fine, ne...

Re: New steering column

I wonder if there is any practical or security implications to this. Mine does it, but it has not gotten any worse over the 1½ year i have had it, so i guess it gets to this point and then it does not get any worse. Will offcourse have it changed if i fail the MOT or it is deemed dangerous, but if ...

Re: Astra K Nightmare

I’ve never had an issue with the 1.4T here in Australia Perhaps it’s climate related, Holden surely haven’t done anything to the engine for Australia. I’ve done 132,000km with zero mechanical issues with my car. I’m getting rid of it when it dies though, and the fact my AH astra did nearly 600,000km...

Aussie Astra is 15000km/9 months for the 1.4T
The old one was, but halfway through the lifespan they updated to 12 month servicing.
MY17 so not that old I guess
Either way I do every 15k for oil
Better for the engine

Re: Timing chain sounds like a push bike peddling backwards

Seems like the Diesel engines are problematic. Glad Australia never sold them tbh
