Re: Oil life

Yeah, it's just a calculator that gives an estimate based on your starts/stops, mileage and drivetime, temp etc factors and gives an estimate when you should change it.

If it's been serviced on November it should still have a lot of oil life left, so probably it's just not reset as previously said.

Re: White headlights

Here's more for comparison, mine has the Philips WhiteVision bulbs.
Whiter than basic bulbs, but still "yellower" than the DRLs (see esp. pic 2)

Re: White headlights

I think shitty would better suit to describe those low-end chinese led-bulbs that blind every passer by... But I'm not gonna get in to an argument about this, just pointed out for the OP that those in fact are illegal, if it is of any concern to him. From what I've read they don't check any bulbs fo...

And being non-E-marked led-bulbs are illegal in the UK too...

Re: 1.4L 150BHP Any one done big miles?

- transmission serviced @ 100,000km (for my peace of mind, don’t trust Holden and their optimism with 150,000 on original oils) Well, Opel in Europe insists that the transmission (both manual and AT) doesn't need an oil change at all in it's lifetime  I'll also be changing them at around 100k ...

Re: 1.4L 150BHP Any one done big miles?

Well not big miles, still on the lower side. 53k kms/ 33k miles, car is from late 2016. Only issues so far are windshield that scratches too easily and thing paint that chips off easily. I've had to polish my windshield and do some paint touch ups a couple of times so far. Mechanics and electronics ...

Re: Turn off running lights.

But if you flick them over to the DRL/ parking light option That option actually is not a DRL option, but it's the park light option. It will put the DRLs on a dimmer "park mode" and also switch on the rear park lights of the car. The DRLs are only on when the switch is on Auto position and the bri...

Re: 1.0T real life performance vs 1.4T

Damn that really wants me to go for the 1.4T. I quess i just have to wait until one shows up for sale and go for it if the price is right I also pondered on this same question when I was upgrading my car. I had driven the basic 1.6 engines with 75-105 hp my entire life, first on my parent's cars an...
