Re: Auto lights disabling

The stock lights switch is fully valid. and the anti-fog works. Would like to know what model that video is from. Atleast on my 2016 K the stock light switch does not turn to left (counter-clockwise) at all and did not turn off the auto headlights. Though mine has regular lights, not leds, so...

Re: Opel owner from Sweden

Välkommen!

There's actually a lot of folks outside the UK in here, so you'll find lots of people with Opels instead of Vx :D
A lot of good discussion to find here regarding many aspects of owning and tweaking you Astra, just browse around.

Re: Advise

Hi guys. I’ve just bought an Astra K estate and was wondering is their a boot bike rack what can be used to hang on the tailgate? I have this one from Menabo, bough from Amazon DE, don't know if they also have it on Amazon UK. Fits well to the Astra and seems sturdy, though it lifts the bikes up so...

Re: Basic soundproofing

As said the bottom of the trunk is easily accessible, and also lifting away the back seat is easy and you can install some dampening mat there too. I did some insulation on m...

Re: Oil life

Yeah, it's just a calculator that gives an estimate based on your starts/stops, mileage and drivetime, temp etc factors and gives an estimate when you should change it.

If it's been serviced on November it should still have a lot of oil life left, so probably it's just not reset as previously said.

Re: White headlights

Here's more for comparison, mine has the Philips WhiteVision bulbs.
Whiter than basic bulbs, but still "yellower" than the DRLs (see esp. pic 2)

Re: White headlights

I think shitty would better suit to describe those low-end chinese led-bulbs that blind every passer by... But I'm not gonna get in to an argument about this, just pointed out for the OP that those in fact are illegal, if it is of any concern to him. From what I've read they don't check any bulbs fo...

This is a UK 🇬🇧 forum, if you are from any other country then it's up to you to find out the laws.
And being non-E-marked led-bulbs are illegal in the UK too...
