1. Enter the car.
2. Press down brake pedal and push the start button.
3. Move gearselector to D.
4. Release brake and floor it like you stole it.
5. Put on the Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin while wearing your sunglasses :)
Exactly. 😎

Re: How Good Is Vauxhalls Automatic Transmission?

Of course an automatic do less mpg than a manual. Maybe not as much as it once was but you don't get automatic gear changes for free.

Re: head unit totally stopped working this am?!

Also happened to me 3-4 times.
One time the touch didn't respond.
Another time the touch worked but not the buttons.

Everytime it went normal after car had been off for xx minutes.

When car was about a year old I had the whole unit swapped on warranty, but it has happened again since then.

Re: How Good Is Vauxhalls Automatic Transmission?

I have an automatic and it must be widely different that other owners in here.

It's fine and does its job but I can't say I don't feel it's shifting or that it's "butter smooth"

A colegue of mine has a Golf with DSG and it's a way nicer experience to drive.

Re: Automatic gearbox "problem"

I'm not sure what you mean and I also doesn't get much from the video.
But I can say that my automatic also acts different when cold. It goes higher rpm before changing and generally hold on in gears before switching.

Think i read in the manual that it's a thing that eases on the box when cold.

Re: Gear changes

My automatic can also do this. But why would you even try it with a manual? You might be able to it but probably not healthy in the long run

Re: AUTISTOP not working 1.4 turbo elite nav

I didn't. Engineering explained in YouTube did the test. 😊

And it doesn't cost 8 minutes. 7 seconds idling equals one autostop. So if stop is shorter than 7 sec, you lost more fuel.

Re: AUTISTOP not working 1.4 turbo elite nav

Mine shuts off no matter how little I press the brake. It's an automatic maybe there's a difference.
