Re: Disabling Auto Stop

I have an auto too, got to say I don't mind mine, once you get used to it being linked to your brake pedal, instead of clutch. I just tend to pop it in neutral (stops the s/s coming on). Although on average my s/s only works around half of the time anyway, that's been the case with the last 3 s/s ca...

Re: Time to wave bye to the Astra?

I have no issues buying electric when the times is right. I'd need at least 150 miles from a full charge to make it worth my while. I have no issue buying a nearly new used one either. Theoretically they should be more reliable than a combustion engine, as they should be less to go wrong. Unfortunat...

Re: Time to wave bye to the Astra?

So called "premium brands", are not without issues too. You are paying extra for the badge. Ford's previous "powershift", auto box was woeful and dangerous at times. They've had loads of issues with their ecoboost engines. I personally think Ford are over priced too. I've owned a...

Re: Astra 2018.5 + Elite Nav + Collision Alert

You can normally turn it off during every ignition cycle if you want to.
I leave it on min sensitivity setting, not had an issue with it so far.

Re: Fitting leather seats

I didn't know about pre-tensioners until after I'd replaced my seats and the airbag illumination  They certainly serve an important purpose though.

Re: Fitting leather seats

The later cars (mine is late 2018) DO NOT have seat belt pretensioners I dont know when the changed probably to save money So if yours did you will get an airbag fault showing You could swop them over with the wiring Are pre-tensioners not a legal requirement now? I think the earlier K's have them,...

Re: Fitting leather seats

Mine is a 2018 model, just checked, see pic 2. Does not look like it has pre-tensioners fitted, comparing it to breaker parts online.
Pic one, I don't seem to have that plug on my seat the one you showed on earlier pictures. Mine is an SRI model too. I've checked both sides, no plug.
