Re: Tyre wear

In what way are premium tyres a false economy? yeah your cheap ditch finders might not wear as quick, but thats just because they are a hard compound. Dont just judge a tyre on its wear rates   In what i said above retard! We are simply commuting to work not racing on a race track so what...

Re: 1.4 125 PS vs 1.4 150 PS

The 150ps version had problems with LSPI, I suspect the 125ps version never had it. Hi, Both versions had LSPI issues in the beginning, prior to the Dex1Gen2 oil. The difference comes from the engine remap, no hardware changea. You cannot have automatic gearbox with the 125PS version, guessing a ma...

Re: Gap between roof and boot

My gap is between 4 and 5mm spread evenly (ST version). Maybe the rear door needs adjusting.

I haven't noticed anything of the sorts. Would it be possible to make a short video of it?

Re: Start/stop again

Recharging takes quite sone time. Wouldn't it be better to charge it yourself, might also save you some cash and time. If necesaary you can book it afterwards. Its quite easy to do and battery chargers are relatively inexpensive if you don't have one. Just a thought...

Re: oil testing...

Oil tests are quite detailed guys, not trying to cause concerns here, but most tests can even tell if some parts of the engine are deteriorating. They will, most certainly, be able to tell if a non dexos oil was topped up - even the amount that was likely poured in. I would not be surprised if they ...

Re: Astra k recall

I had to drive the astra to the local dealer to check for moisture in the display of the Navi900 unit. Haven't heard anyone complain about this here, so it came as a surprise. Initially I thought they are calling for the ECU update on the 1.4T from few months ago, but it would seem it is not applica...

Anyone else noticed that the BiTurbo has lost about 10bhp if you order a new one?
I think its because of the AdBlue. I doubt it makes a huge difference.

Re: Opinions on 1.6 Bi-Turbo diesel?

I am pretty sure the oil ans LSPI problems for pre 2017 engines are just for the petrol ones. ;) Safe to asume the biturbo diesel is a pretty good option.
Lets see what an actual owner of one has to say.
