Re: Anyone else still having problems with the forward facing camera?

I think it's condensation in the camera housing. When I get the messages I've got out the car and surprise surprise, the camera is misted up even though the rest of the windscreen is clear. I've been back to vauxhall to inform them it still mists up even after the new bracket. The garage said they ...

Re: My Astra lost remaining oil life memory

To my mind, in theory at least, if the car really is sensing the quality of the oil I would expect it to drop back down fairly quickly as even though you've reset it, the oil quality is still less than optimal.

Re: New improved recall

Any recalls for your car will show on My Vauxhall, and they should be the only ones that matter to you.

Re: 1.6t 3yr old 33000 miles service what’s required

Assuming it's had first and second service it's basically oil and filter and checks. It should have had brake fluid at 2 years old as a recommendation.

Re: Anyone else still having problems with the forward facing camera?

I had the redesigned trim piece fitted last year in an attempt to cure the error messages coming up for the camera system, but I'm still getting random error messages telling me it's unavailable due to weather, or it's blocked. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues? What issue have you been h...

Re: Anyone else still having problems with the forward facing camera?

I think the re-designed piece is supposed to stop the camera fogging up. I did have it happen a few times when we had the bad weather, which seemed fair enough. However it also seems to do it in perfect weather, with no sign of the screen misting up. The other night I dropped my wife off for a night...

Re: first service 20k for 1.4t?

If you are buying it from a dealer and it is near to wanting a service I would expect that to be done as part of the deal. I would also expect at least 6 months warranty with the car.

Re: first service 20k for 1.4t?

Do you mean March 2018? If so it will be due it's 1st service by next month as it's 20k,or 12 months, or when the oil life reaches 0%, whichever comes first, but may well already have had it. I've not heard of any yet that have got anywhere near the 20000 mile interval before hitting 0% oil life.
